DAILY ADVENTURES
At Golden Dog we provide daily group dog hikes. We pick-up pups & head to one of SF's beautiful off-leash parks (John McLaren Park). Dogs are walked in a combination of on & off leash, depending on their needs/skills. These doggie adventures are set up to let your dog get more exercise & social time than traditional, boring walks around the neighborhood. Active dogs can run, fetch, chase, & swim. Senior dogs can stroll & sniff. Puppies can learn & play. Timid dogs can build confidence. And all dogs work on their recall training. What could be better than that?

DAILY HIKE • $30
Our one hour off-leash group hikes allow dogs to run, play, and swim while working on social skills & recall training.
DOG CAMP • $60
Does your dog need extra exercise? Sign them up for 2 hikes! Pups will enjoy 2 hours of off-leash adventures & be out of the house for 4-5 hours.

Emma Schultz
After getting her Master's in Anthropology and pursuing various career paths, Emma could never escape the feeling she got from her job as a dog walker over the years. What she thought was just a fun way to pay the bills, she realized was really her career in the making. Nothing makes her feel more alive than working outdoors with dogs and watching them grow, learn, and play. You could also say her fate was sealed when her 8-week old mutt grew up to be a 200 pound gentle giant. Chako (@chakothelionbear) is now the face of the company--the original Golden Dog. Emma's life is all dog, all day, every day. Together, Emma and Chako make a great team and look forward to meeting you & your pup!
Christa Mahoney
Christa is a true dog lover. While her dog, Buddy, may be the love of her life, she still has room in her heart for every dog she meets. She dreams of owning her own animal sanctuary one day, or being involved in helping people heal through the power of four-legged companionship. But for now she's dedicated to applying her double business degree to making Golden Dog a success. One reason she is so good at her job is because she knows first hand how hard it is to entrust your pup in someone else's care. Whether for one hour or two weeks, you can rest assured Christa will truly go above and beyond for our Golden Dogs!

Emma sent me daily updates of Chance with his new friends and she's been great with communication. I was initially worried because Chance is not the best off leash, but Emma and Christa do so well with him, it's amazing! After our Europe trip we've decided to continue the hikes. He loves them so much, Chance actually whines for Chako when we're leaving. It feels good knowing our little pup is in good hands!"

"There are not enough good things to say about Emma and Golden Dog! I have two black labs, Belle and Odin, and when I'm away Emma boards them for me. She's great about keeping me updated with pictures and videos and my pups are always happy excited when we get close to her house to drop them off. If any issues ever pop up she lets me know right away and if I ever have any problems w flight delays or unexpected/short notice things she either helps me directly or if she can't she gives me other great options! Her lion-bear of a dog Chako is amazing and he and my pups love their sleep overs together. I wouldn't trust my kids to anyone else!!!"

"If I could give Emma more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! I have an incredibly shy rescue pup from South Korea, who Emma does wonders with! Not only is she incredibly reliable, but she is amazing with communication (pics, texts, updates, etc.) while I'm away and works with Weezy to bring out her best. Whether I go away for a night or for a month, Emma will always be my first contact to dog sit. She truly loves Weezy as her own. I never have a single doubt about Weezy's happiness or safety when they're together. Seriously, can't say enough about how thankful I am to have found her!"

I am so thankful to have found Emma and Golden Dog!! I left my golden doodle, Buddy with her after a last minute trip came up. She was super friendly and Buddy immediately loved her. I got many updates and pictures and could tell Buddy got plenty of exercise with her. The day I picked him up he took a looooooooong nap when he got home. "We looooove Golden Dog! Emma is simply the best! Everytime Emma comes to pick up my 6mo Goldendoodle for his walkies, he can't contain his excitement. He literally forgets about me and is ready to GO! I can't praise her services enough - she is trustworthy, sends updates and pics on every outing, and loves her dog packs as if they were her own. I must also add how amazed I am with Doobie's recall since he started with GD. I was always hesitant about taking him outdoors and to dog parks off leash, but not anymore thanks to Emma.
I highly recommend Golden Dog, although a part of me wants to be selfish so we can keep them a secret."

"Emma helped out with my dog, Chip on numerous occasions over the past 2 years. She took amazing care of him and I know he was well loved whenever I had to leave town. Chip is on a lot of medication and Emma did a great job making sure he got everything he needed when he needed it. Due to his age and medications he also needed to go outside often and she was always tending to him as frequently as he needed it. It can be stressful to leave a pet when you have to go out of town, but adding the fact that he is older and on lots of medication and has special needs, makes it even harder....once we found Emma we knew we had the perfect person to care for our fur baby. She was also available on short notice a couple times due to my fathers health issues causing me to travel out of state to take care of him. I HIGHLY recommend Emma for anything your pet needs, she will love them like her own. Also, my dog was about 14 lbs and a couple times she watched him at her house with her larger dogs and they got along great."
